As most of you have now heard we are having another baby due in July. I guess we'll have to change the blog to 5 in 5. Brianna will turn 5 just months before baby number 5 arrives. The response we now get when we announce we are having another is " are you insane". While we are not trying to be like that couple that has 18 now, we do believe children are a blessing. While at my ultrasound at 10 weeks (really only 8 weeks of life) it still amazes me to see that little baby kicking and waving. At 10 weeks it is already undeniable that this is a baby in every way. A beating heart and a human LIFE like no other that can never be duplicated. While it is a challenge, it is also a wonderful blessing.
At 55, my dad retired from GM. He was the plant manager in Missouri where they make the 15 passenger vans we may have to buy one day if we keep having all these kids. Heath's brother has one for their 6 kids. We 5 kids threw him a surprise retirement party and then we headed to the "lake" for Thanksgiving. It is more of a river behind my parents house now thanks to the ongoing drought. The first picture is my kids with my sister's children, Martin and Grace. We have a lot to be thankful for!

The kids loved picking apples at Hillcrest Orchards in Ellijay, GA on September 20th, 2008. They had a giant slide, shows, bee demonstration, petting zoo, and pig races. The best part was picking apples and making things with them. Katelyn was very proud of herself for touching the animals. She is generally terrified of anything that moves from a butterfly to a dog. She does like our cat, Julio. He is scared of everything too.
On September 22, 2007 while I was putting Sam to bed and Heath was listening to the Georgia game, the girls were up late after having taken a nap in the car on the way home from a weekend getaway. They decided to cut each others hair. Brianna, 3 at the time, was the ring leader. She had just recieved her thank you letter from the Locks of Love organization for donating her hair that day. We are not sure if she wanted to donate more. So here are the pictures, first on vacation before the haircut, the day after the haircut, and this year on the anniversary of the haircut.
