Leah's 1st Birthday

Leah gets into the wedding spirit too.

Leah loves baby dolls. She hugs real and fake babies and says ahh while she pats them on the back. Some of her friends her age don't like it very much and some don't mind.

She loves her big brother and he loves her. He takes such good care of Leah and watches out for her. He even lets her pull his hair and gives her hugs and kisses all the time anyway.

My youngest (for now) celebrated her first birthday on February 28th, 2009. I can't believe she is one. She is walking good and talking a little. We had a small family party for her on her birthday. It is amazing how different each child is and how much you can love each one individually so much even after 4 kids. Leah is always smiling, waving at everyone, and trying to do everything the older kids do.

Chris and Samantha get married

Poor Sam needs a brother. He is all boy and loves his trains and cars more than anything but lately the girls tell him he has to wear dresses if he wants to dance with them. He happily goes to get one on. He wants what they have.

We welcomed another Sam to the family this past weekend. My brother Chris got married to a girl named Sam. We are so happy for them. The kids all had so much fun at the wedding. Leah loved dancing (which meant bobbing her head up and down) and so did the other kids. They spent the whole time on the dance floor. Today they are throwing their own weddings over and over and over. They had the flower toss, walking down the aisle, the dancing of course, and their understanding of the garter toss (which is hiding something under the bride's skirt - easter eggs and prizes - for the groom to find). They all love weddings and we can't wait for my other brother Joey to get married to Crystal in July. The kids are all in that wedding and can't wait to be the flower girls and ring "bear".

Ballet girls

My little girls are now doing ballet. Brianna's competition gymnastics was getting too serious too fast. She was already taking it for an hour twice a week and was moving soon to 2 hours twice a week and it became too much. She just wants to have fun and she is only 4. Now the girls started doing ballet together. Katelyn is very shy but surprised us by going in without a second look at mommy and they closed the door and she came out talking about how much fun it was. The girls are really enjoying it now. They do some ballet and some tap.
