Brianna's race for Cystic Fibrosis

On March 17th, Saint Patrick's Day, we went to Centennial Olympic Park for the race for Cystic Fibrosis.  Brianna raised $365 for Miles for Cystic Fibrosis this year and we had a great time in Atlanta!

All the Rosebuds kids!  The Rosebuds team was Brianna's friend Elena's idea.  Elena has Cystic Fibrosis and wanted a kids version of the adult team 65 Roses.  I have known Elena's parents since high school and Elena is Brianna's age.  They are an amazing family and it is so much fun to go do the race.

Here is Elena being interviewed by the Fox cameras.  She did an awesome interview which was on ATL news that night and also gave an amazing speech the night before the race at the pre-race dinner.  The video is at  Brianna is actually in the background getting a prize as well.  Elena's mom Julie gave each of the kids goodie bags and prizes and they were so excited to look at them on the way home.

We made a stop at their favorite park at Centennial Olympic Park before we went back to my sister's house.

Thanks to everyone who donated!  Elena has seen the results of the money raised and it will hopefully raise the life expectancy and make it easier to live with Cystic Fibrosis.  One day hopefully there will be a cure.
